    IH 560D Air intake question

Sounds like the plan I was going to follow unless anyone came in with something that they felt was worth making. The head is at a good shop getting worked over. Thanks for the reply!

    IH 560D Air intake question

yes, I know I need to do something, but jsut not sure where to start. figured I wouldnt reinvent the wheel if someone had already done any mods. I do think that the engine would breathe better if I could avoid the long breather and through the air cleaner....but it has always worked well for 60...

    IH 560D Air intake question

Has anyone done anything special to your air intake on your 560d puller? I am doing a inframe rebuild, and was looking at the intake. It doesnt seem to make much sense to do much of a port and polish on the head, with the way that intake is made. You cant hardly polish/ clean up any internals...

    Farmall 460

I dont mean to hijack the thread, but it seemed to be in the same topic. So will the front covers that it(301) is currently wearing, even in a 856 still work to mount it in a 460? I guess I should have been more clear

With a 301 in a 460 swap?.. would the 460 282 Diesel front and rear plates bolt on a 301 gas engine for the swap? Thanks. Mike.

    49ish 8n Starting issue

ok, so this evening after work, I went outside and piddled. I did hook the starter thumb switch up and that didn't work. I assume that is broken. What I did first was to take the starter off. There was a lot of grime, wire wheeled the tranny frame and the starter face. She turned over like a...

    49ish 8n Starting issue

So I have borrowed a voltmeter from a friend. What do I set the voltmeter on to test volts from a battery? And there are three locations for the wires to plug in the voltmeter. Any clue on which two of the three I should plug it in on the VM? I did hook a battery charger up to it to assure it...

    49ish 8n Starting issue

The one thing I have not done is to take the starter loose and wirebrush the contact between the starter and the transmission casing. This tractor has been outside for a few months due to a project in the barn. It could have gotten some rust between the two. I will try this tomorrow night. I...

    49ish 8n Starting issue

So today I took the JFOR schematics and gave mine a once over. I found a few things and fixed them. Thanks for that link and advice. It was helpful. I also cleaned the starter and the solenoid faces for a better ground. So this tractor cranked and started before, it has me stumped. I did buy...
