How to add gear oil to steering case if steering wheel is welded to the steering column?

Squeeze bottle tip opening can't be too big, and have to hold it clear of the bolt hole a bit so it can burp air. This is the top part of a steering box, (just sitting on the rear end of the tractor) the blue line shows the passege Drilling slow with gease on the bit may help catch spirals...

Any tricks on making a temporary gas tank

Not glamorous, but works good. Came on a Sears --with B&S engine-- rototiller, has a glass sediment bowl and everything. Since im a 12 voter, an old generator mount got repurposed to clamp to an old air filter. Its safe to drive around to test.

9n retrofitting o-ring for stand pipe between lift lid and housing

Hi Derek, Glad your 9 has been running good! I gave up on gravity down 3 point angers in rocky, or hardpan soils. Dug with 1 ft wide backhoe bucket on L48 Kubota. Maybe its a good thing only the gasket blew, and maybe that blowing is a lesser of evils.😀 Guys have broke the lift piston just from...

    Ford 8N 12V EI conversion

Watched the beginning of that video. Im sure the fellow is a nice guy, and is showing how he fixed up his first 8n. Not knowing how to spell pertronix is OK. But leaving the knock off EI wires just laying on the exhaust manifold is a shade tree disqualified for me.( and the wire loom bracket is...

Is it possible to switch a side mount 8N block to a front mount setup?

The last clutch I bought here worked just fine. Was about 3 years ago. Didnt have adjustable finger bolts. Just a suggestion, dont change the eyebolt screw ajustment on the outside of the belhousing. Doing so could help the new clutch to not fully release. Wait to see if it works.😀 Edit: Take...

Also, suggest save your old points. Use them to locate static timing (on the dist housing)-- when the points first break open. It might be findable by voltage change if on EI, but certainly easier to see points opening.

Hi bradleydavidgood, Yes, get your parts here! So its pull the hood, install new 12 volt conversion, and Pertronix, rebuild the carb, or put on a spare, clean or replace the gas tank, then try to fire it up? Ive had joy leaving the genny, and regulator, but taking the wires off and taping em...
