Bush Hog 2426QT on a Ford 3930 not lifting up

Do you have to place a remote hydraulic lever on, before the controls work??? as on my 4610??? Did a hose partially pop out of the connector at the rear? Did the asv valve accidentally get pulled out?

    Stripping 3000 for transport

Dual axle 16' trailer.. with the tractor positioned mostly to the front.. so that the trailer is a bit nose heavy, but not overloading the truck. Or maybe you need to borrow a real truck?? Incorrect trailer loading will make it very difficult, dangerous, and even bumpy, as the trailer must be...

TW5 steering pump, gets real hot.

I set the canister to where the vent is ON TOP... And the temp will be a minimum of 155F... so 200 is still ok for hydraulic oil. Whats the outside temps when you take your reading and how long did you run it? The larger canister is to allow more capacity to help cooling.. but newer tractors...

You might have the dreaded black/grey algae growing in your fuel, in which case it will gum up the works. You will to completely flush the tank with a high pressure hose, then dry it, Add back fuel and a diesel "biocide" to kill off this alien growth from mars. You also will have to change...

ford 5000 clutch issue and PTO question

Very common for the clutch plate to "stick" especially when you first start it for the day, after setting a while. Sometimes due to moisture and rain, sometimes due to oil... Some even block/tie down the clutch pedal when not in use, to prevent this from happening. Most people just live with...

Looking at a Ford 3910, need some advice please…

Backing UP a hill is considered safest on super steep, but difficult/impossible with a ground mounted shredder..... BUT never back down a hill, as if you hit the brakes too quickly on too steep, the tractor could "rear" up in the front. Having a ROPS system and seat belts are a must.

Looking at a Ford 3910, need some advice please…

When you break loose traction,, it does not make a difference if its 2wd or 4wd,,, a sliding tractor is a problem. TO state a 4wd would be safer would be a mistake. ESPECIALLY since most 4wd tractor have taller tires on the front end with a higher CG than a 2wd with 16 inch rims on the front...

    Power steering cylinder

180 to 220 are normal for hydraulic fluids being pumped and pressurized,, if you run the system long enough.. It actually helps boil off moisture. Anything above 250 and you might move to synthetic or add a cooler.

Looking at a Ford 3910, need some advice please…

Ford used to sell LCG 4000 tractor for mowing the sides of hyway embankments and they DID have dual wheels on the just for this reason. Duals can be used for flotation or for widening the wheel base. Wider wheel base "Lowers the Center of Gravity" significantly. and LCG means it does not...
