Struggling to seal 3000 injection pump

1990s model 4630
Hydraulic filter on back of pump.. Caution as there is a long and a short filter. The short will fit on all, the long will only fit on some where space is available. The under the running board is also a hydraulic filter... same applies... -

Governor compensating spring
Thanks for the rootbeer. Remember the carbs are bad about choking down and then catching up when the governor kicks in... then it over revs a bit....... This is due to the holly carb having the accelerator pump frozen due to water egress, then corrosion. Sadly the pump plunger is usually... -

WOW... where in the world did that statement come from????? In '65 that tractor ran rings around any and all competition. Still a excellent tractor by today's standards. Same question... as the pics make it look too long in the rear?? Guess you could always back a tractor on to get it to go into "haul" position?? But you do need correct weight distribution with 10% more on the front to haul safely. While pic makes the rear look too long, the other picture...- sotxbill

Governor compensating spring
Did not spec which tractor.. but the throttle friction plate is responsible for adjusting the "drag" on the throttle lever to keep it in place. Many have the friction material missing, gone, and fallen out.... but most will respond well to adjusting the nut at the bottom of the throttle rod... -

Go to the local used tire store/flat shop,,, and find some used 16 inch tires... 7.50s if you can find them or 235/85-16s.. any tire that you can take up to 40 lbs or higher.. Even though used, you can use them till they rot off, and they are wide enough to keep the tractor from burying the... -

Def get the 3000. Leaps and bounds better tractor.. It has power steering, it has a live pto, it has live hydraulics, it has 38 hp at the pto vs 22hp on the 8n. It has 8 speed vs 4 sp on the 8n. And even worse, do NOT get a 2n or 9n as they are even worse with no position control, only...- sotxbill

Ford 3000 Hydraulic pump leak
Check shaft for excessive play as fitted, as that could make it leak again. ie if its worn so bad the shaft can wobble around the hole, a new oring will not last more than a week at best. -

Ford 5000
I have had a few tractors come through where the trans is over filled and they leak out this weep hole. Simply pulling the check plug and letting the "over fill" drain out,,,, fixed this problem... Ford New Holland 4630 turbo
Here is the pic of the other one... 4speed on the trans, high low on the trans,,, and a simple fwd/N/Rev on the left side of the column. Iirc, this is the one that easier to shuttle/shift.. Notice the trans is "new holland" grey with orange knobs... -

Again, has a "4 on the tree" on the right side of the column. Left side lever on the tree, "down" and there is fwd, N, Rev, then "up" on the tree and then fwd, and high range fwd only... and the left shifter is a bit hard or clunky in my opinion, and not smooth and easy. Other thing... -

Ford New Holland 4630 turbo
I have two 3930s currently and one has the soleniod and one does not. One is a 8/2 and the other is a 8/4 mech shuttle, ie a 4 speed trans on the right dash lever, and a high/low/reverse on the dash lever lever. I have not ever thought to call this model a "reverser" though.
