    39 B bearing on fan shaft

    The front bearing is noisy. I filled it with oil like the manual said and it ran out the back. So I took the plug out and put a grease zirk on it which helped. but is still noisy. I am afraid the bearing will come to pieces if I dont change it. Was wondering how much of a job it is to change

    residential lawn tractor

    I have a x485 john deer all wheel ster with a a 60 inch deck. I like thke tractor real well it has a lot of power with a fuel injected 2cy. motor and is rated at either 22 or 24 horse i dont remember which. it turns almost at short as a o turn and is a lot nicer to drive.

    1940 ac b

    I have had many C and B allis chalmers from 1939 to 1949 and they were all galvanized. I have had some that were orange when I got them but if you cleaned off a little paint they were galvanized underneath the paint. I think they were probaly all galvanized when they left the factory.

    Allis B @ C hydraulics

    I have a B that had the valve on it when i bought and I know from using it it has one input from the pump and the selector controls the pressure to one or the other ouputs but not both at the same time.

    Looking for an overdrive to fit a 39 B

    If you do find one be sure to move the fly wheel out about a half an inch if it,s a hand cranker, if you dont its real hard on the knuckels. Mine has a spacer so the flywheel can only go on so far that probably came with the overdrive unit.

    I know this wont help you any,but I have a 39 B with an overdrive which gives it 6 speeds. I really like it, but they ar rare and hard to find. Good luck finding one and if I hear of or see one for sale I will let you kow. Herb

    louvers for radiator

    I have a 39 B that somebody didnt think the tractor needed them. Linkage to open and close thkem is gone also. I would like to find a set so I could cntrol the tempature.

    Allic Chalmers C governor

    If the gears and weights disintergrated you beter remove the pan and clean it, also there will be a lot of peices where it mounts.

    If the weights and gears disintergrated you better remove the oil pan and clean it, thats where a lot of the peices will end up. there will also be peices that need to be cleaned up where the mag was fastened on.
