    your oil pump cover is probably warped, and when the oil is up to temp it loses pressure. drop the pan, take the pump out, remove cover and make it flat again by using a stone, mill or worse case scenario a belt sander. I had to do this to my 44 BN, the cover was warped in some spots about...

    as said above that is correct, the IPTO is a pain in the butt to fill but it takes abut 2 1/2 qts. Make sure you use IH B6 compliant HyTran.

    more than likely its a 300 with different badges and white paint. my '55 300 is serial number 16,992

    yellow paint meant it was an industrial tractor, more than likely used by the county roads or in a construction outfit. clean out the threads with a tap and some wd-40 or ATF to make sure theyre clean and so you get a good torque reading when you re-install them.

    drop the pan and pull the oil pump cover, sounds to me like its warped and once the oil gets up to temp its not holding pressure. I had a '44 BN that had low oil pressure, re-surfaced the oil pump cover, put a new gasket in and it was good to go. easy simple fix. before and after...

    depends on what size tires are on it... 15.5-38 and 13.6-38 are same diameter... 14.9-38 is taller.

    Thank you for the cylinder info!! I'm gonna try to find a 2001 dump cylinder in the tractor yard but if not I guess ill have to find one with identical dimensions and fab a mount etc etc to make it work.
