    Reverse Cooling fan?

You are correct that reversing a fan will not reverse the direction of air flow. I was misinformed many years ago and never questioned it. I am sorry.

    Reverse Cooling fan?

Actually, the fan will work in the reverse direction when put on backward. It used to be a common cause of overheating in cars. My TO-35 "draws air through the radiator and blows it around the engine"

    Steering Wheel restoration

You vee out the cracks with a file, apply flexible bumper & plastic patch NAPA 6352, a two part epoxy product. Shape, grate, sand and prime. Repeat sand and prime. Paint with black epoxy enamel. That's a lot of work on a steering wheel. The felt washer should be soaked with grease. I use NAPA...

    MF 35 Gas or Diesel?

I use a gas TO-35 for getting out firewood. I have a wood rack about 42" square mounted on the 3 point hitch. It works very well and I can maneuver between the trees using the brakes. I sometimes use a trailer, but places to turn around are scarce. There are old skidding trails from early...

    what next? te20 won't go

Well, you sure have generated some interest here. If the plugs are wet with gas immediately after stalling, there is fuel flow, maybe to much. There was enough spark to make it run. That it ran at high speed, then stalled when you throttled back makes me suspect that it would run on the high...

    what next? te20 won't go

I found your earlier message and answered it. The bottom line is that it may be flooding, that 1/4 inch is the correct float height, and the idle mix screw should probably be one turn out.

carb rebuild float needle question te20

Sorry for the delay. I did not look back this far yesterday. I know carbs, but not marvel carbs. The tab is the part of the float that float needle normally rests on. You would bend it up to lower the float, increasing the float measurement from the highest part of the float to the top cover...

Are the plugs wet or dry immediately after stalling?

    MF35 steering gear lube

It is under the battery. Should be an access hole in the support.

    MF35 steering gear lube

The only reason to change the steering gear oil would be if water got in there through the top bearing under the steering wheel. To get the water, rust and loose top column bearings and race fragments out of the lower bearing and expansion plug would require complete disassembly. I had to do my...

MF35 tach drive gear - Lube??

My TO-35 had white lead grease on the gears. Looked original. I put some NAPA Sil-Glyde grease on them. The tach cable should get light oil, like a speedometer cable. I used gun oil.

    to30 oil in carb

It might have come from the air cleaner,if it is overfull. Maybe too much bubbling going on in there. I don't think the head gasket is involved, and oil from the valve guides should go to the valve head as usual.

    Muffler shot TO-35

Hi Dude, I bought a one piece horizontal system. My old system has a small hole in the muffler where it clamps to the exhaust pipe. I haven't installed the new one yet, waiting for restoration and engine rebuilt later this year. This TO35 was my dad's, and I replaced the manifold and exhaust...

carb rebuild float needle question te20

That little clip that the float needle is pointing at in the picture is just a clip to keep to keep the float needle from sticking. They clip the needle to the float tab, so that when the float drops it will pull the needle with it. It may have the pivot shaft go through it too. Can't see it...
