    OT-Ford Explorer Alternator

I know some of the gents on this board are either professional mechanics or are close to the repair industry. I need some advice on a Bosch Alternator. I replaced the original alternator on my wife's Ford Explorer about seven weeks ago, and now the replacement Bosch from NAPA is shot. Is...

    Massey Update Pt 7 (Videos)

I posted yesterday about how to use my timing light to try and figure the timing out. I used my phone's flashlight and peered into the timing hole and I can't see any marks on the flywheel at all. This is stopped, at idle or high idle. I've uploaded two videos, one shows me with the...

Need To-35 information about the ZB-134 engine.

What can you tell me? I'm gathering information about it. I'v had it over 15 years and used it a lot. It's still a working tractor, just not used as much. Engine has ID. tag riveted to the block along with a warning tag. I'l see if I can post some pictures and let them speak. :) ___JIM

    New Gen Gauge supplier

Has anybody found any new Gen gauges they really like- seem well built and look orginal and you would recommend them and the supplier? Specifically I have a 5020, 4000 (gas), 3010 and 4010 restorations to start in a month or so and I'm looking for nice replacement gauges. Last year I had a...

    Stuck Engine and Head Removal

I just picked up a 52 8N with a stuck engine. The previous owner said it had been sitting in a barn for 10-15 years, and he had taken the head off and filled the cylinders with diesel fuel within the last year, but he was unable to free it. Since it already had the head off, I filled the...

    Help ID'ing a tractor - think it is a IH 240U

I'm looking at an older International Loader from a family member, hoping to get into a loader cheaply and possibly get a backhoe on it later. From digging around it looks like a 240 Utility, there is no pto or 3 point. Looks like just a drawbar as there is a 55 gallon barrel of weight back...

Setting up a new fuel pump on a 770

I just rebuilt my 770 and as a part of the overhaul I installed a new pump. This is one of the ones from eBay that was intended for a 780B. Tractor starts immediately and surges from 350-550 rpms. Will not rev beyond that regardless of throttle position. Shut off allows full range...

Removing crank pulley on the WD-9

I saw somewhere in my research that a bearing separator should be used in conjunction with a 3 jaw puller to remove the crank pulley. Is that absolutely necessary? Are there any other ways to get the pulley off? As long as I am asking, are there any tricks to getting the set screw out (other...

Possible for rotor to be too low in distributor?

Could this scenario be possible? I bought a new distributor cap and rotor for my International S120 last year. Over the past year it has had this intermittent problem where it will just stop, or sputter and die and then after I fiddle with the points sometimes it will start again then be ok...
