    8n top cover

So I forget where the shorter bolts go. I took them out and placed them in a box in order but I dropped the box and can't remember.

    Hello I have a 52 8N

Like others said, better off with the entire replacement shaft. But to answer your question this is what I used. Ithe was a part from several years ago and I think Soundguy posted it...it was easy. 4 bolts and you snatch the assy out, remove rear circlip, tap pto external stub end down on a...

    PTO sleeve 52 8n

I got the seal(D9NN703BB) now it's time to ask the repeating question. Which way does it go. I know I've read white part facing out. Help a color blind guy out, which side is white? There's a side that that metal is more rounded and darker I'm assuming that's the side that goes in? Also to...

    8n hydraulic

Ok. I received my gaskets and piston today. When I put everything back together(top cover, pump base and valve spools) should I use sealer? I didn't find any info on torque specs for the pump base, anyone know what that is.

    lubing the 8n steering box

I believe in the right side the bolt that connects to the dash panel is where you could add. If I remember correctly it was said to drill the center and tap it for a grease fitting and use cornhead grease.

I hope that's still me....or my son. I'm the fourth generation of the family to have this tractor. I hope it makes it to the fifth or more.

    8n hydraulic control valve

Thats what I had to do thanks. Unfortunately I had to remove the valve spools and pistons just to get to the pin. Once removed I was surprised how dirty it was inside that valve.

    PTO sleeve 52 8n

Just pulled the shafts getting ready to drop the pump. I had fluid leaking from around the PTO shaft. All I would need to replace is the seal (D8NN703AA)correct? Should the retainer just pull back of the shafts? It seems really tight.

Ford 8n lift does work correctly in position control

Have you removed the side cover yet to peek inside to see what's going on in there? If I were to guess I would say the control valve is stuck in. I say this because mine is doing the same thing. When it raised up and didn't lower and you couldn't move the touch lever tells me both valves were...
