    The rebuild kit didnt change much . After guy installed carb he ck tractor and put another resister on coil in parallel with the other . Tractor runs smooth as silk now .Anyone explain how thats works ?

    Got the rebuild kit at Bates.They was proud of it to 140 bucks shipping and all,McDonald Carb emailed and said they had 1 that might work but were not sure about pump for 59 shipping and all.Taking kit and carb to local tractor guy that came highly recommended said he would clean and rebuild...

    yes I did ck fuel from tank to fuel pump and then ck fuel coming out of pump. And I will leave out the farmall in further posts .

    I took jet out and cleaned it sprayed in carb cleaner as suggested blew out gently and reinstalled jet . didnt change anything .jet reminded me of metering device used in ac .I do thank all who replied and if ya have any other suggestions I would like to hear them .I checked the link for parts ...

    I did heating cooling commercial refrigeration commercial and residential appliances Im 68, dad always called it his farmall and it stuck I guess Will try what you recommend after picking up some spray carb cleaner tomorrow.would ya have any Ideal where to find carb kit 1014333C1 ? not timid...

    sorry for lack of info tractor was given to me by my father who bought it new. In 2000 he bought another tractor .The 284 sat for a few years and he gave it to me . When I got it ran but would just up and and quit . a new coil fixed that but at same time it was hard to start and when it did it...

    tractor will start and idle. but dies when taking off or when put under load .also seems to do better if choke is pulled slightly out. Im a tech but not on gas engines . Im a h/c tech retired
