    Voltage regulator

    Know that when I had the Lucas generators rebuilt for my TE 20 we went thru 3-4 regulators at the shop bench testing to get one that worked right. Might be worth the trouble depending what you have.

    compression

    Have a 48 TE 20, What should be a good compression Number running and warmed up. Rebuilding the carb but wonder if the compression is in a good range. Slow to start. Runs good once it"s going. Thanks to all.

    Saw one for sale on the road. TE30721 Had the 12 volt conversion New rear tires. He"s asking $ 2300.00 , OBO Ph. 330-635 6973. It"s in Brunswick Hills, OH. Just thought I"d throw it out there.

    MY 48 TE20 6 volt system So the generator is in , Indicator light goes off at higher idle. However don't show a significant charge at the battery and if I disconnect a terminal the tractor dies which says no charge. Has the lucas regulator. Does this indicate regulator issues.? Will the Delco...

    Have the throttle up about 1/2 and it still stalls. No one local can test a 6 volt generator. Might have to take it about an Hr. away. drive. That's why I'm wondering if it could be regulator related. Points stuck ,etc.

    Need some help. 48 TE20 Had the Lucas generator checked. New bearings, cleaned up . Told it was charging. Have it on. " Flashed " the unit. Have checked all the wiring,connections etc. New battery Charging light goes out once the tractor idles up. How ever if I pull the battery cable loose...

    thanks jeff . Got that squared away. Was able to repair my old socket. Still fighting the generator. Had it repaired and still not getting getting a charge,. Will read more on polarizing. Manual says to do it before you even hook up the wires to it. Didn't see that note until now. Will check...

    Thanks so much John. Someone has rigged a cotter key to the small terminal but don'y think I'm getting good contact. Also worried about it gounding out. Will look around. See what I can find.

Large push pin type connection on endplate with bracket to hold clip, external and a hole for another push pin in end plate,internal connection? Which is field and which is armature? Also can a post be added for the smaller hole so...
