48 TE20 lucas generator

Trying to get this squared away.
This generator has no posts.
Large push pin type connection on endplate with bracket to hold clip, external and a hole for another push pin in end plate, internal connection?
Which is field and which is armature?

Also can a post be added for the smaller hole so I can get a decent connection?
Don't have a proper connector for the hole.
Any suggestions are welcomed.

The large hole id the "D" or main terminal and the small one is the "F" or Field coil. You may have problems trying to get plugs to fit the terminals. We used to use a split pin as a temporary measure when we couldn't get hold of any. But things are much easier now you can get something from the computer stores in the components section. You could change the terminals with a bit of ingenuity, take the Generator apart and see how they are attached to the coils inside. Be careful with the insulation of anything that comes through the Rear Plate of the Gerator...........John(UK)

Thanks so much John.
Someone has rigged a cotter key to the small terminal but don'y think I'm getting good contact. Also worried about it gounding out.

Will look around. See what I can find.
