3600 Muffler / Exhaust Options

Observation at 7-11 today..

Long 610 - 1st oil change?

Boat Batteries
The local International OTR dealer buys 1000 CCAs, 3/8" stud post 31s by the skid and sells them cheap since they buy bulk, one size. Down side is they aren't deep cycle if one is looking for a trolling motor battery. -

Battery Chargers...
Dirt daubers just love to crawl inside equipment to build their nests. Most vulnerable are fan blades. Also had one electric motor burn up on a drill press because of a mud nest blocking rotation. Replacement had a screen shroud I built to keep pests out......air compressor and band saw... -

Three point hitch hydraulics
The bracket in which the right hand lever is mounted, has the word "light" moulded into it and an arrow pointing to the rear meaning if you want the plow to just skip along the ground have it up....toward the rear. New fuel filter assembly
I just went through this. I disconnected the fuel line between the tank and the assembly. Not wanting to strip any threads in the aluminum assembly, I tightened the connector at the filter assembly good and tight but not too tight. In short the filter appeared to be leaking at the seals. I do see the curve into the head but sitting out in any kind of storm, I'd be skeptical on the curve filling with water but none gets into an exhaust valve and subsequently cause problems especially on a Diesel. New steering cylinders
I just bought a '80-90s era CIH 895with sealed tips and they are still sealed and smooth operating. Also have an '89ish Ford 3600 and the same applies. If you need grease they either have slack then you rotate the steering of the cylinder, or you feel a grinding, rough rotation. I have... -

Haybine question
I bought a used Ford 535 9 footer a few years ago for $1700 from a used equipment dealer. Put a new belt on the wobble box, redid the hydraulic cylinder packing, and replaced one of the (stretched) drive chains. Biggest problem was replacing the belt but it wasn't a game changer to replace...- Texasmark
