    Stuck Clutch

I just tied the clutch down, put the transmission in 3rd gear, pulled the center coil wire, wrapped a strap around the front axel & dropped it over the ball on the front of my 9N. I backed up about one foot & stopped. I noticed that it & the Farmall rocked back a little. I decided...

    Stuck Clutch

One of you guys was asking how long the tractor had been sitting. I think it has been around 10 years since it was moved. I start it about once a month, like every other engine I have but don't necessarily move it.

    Stuck Clutch

Can I do it in 20 minutes in my mid 80's with a brand new pacemaker?

    Stuck Clutch

Can I gain anything by removing the plate (2 screws) off the front of the bell housing?

    Stuck Clutch

Can somebody think of a way to "unstick" the clutch on my '39 Farmall Cultivator A"? I won't try and start it with it in gear as I might run over the person with the crank.

    Breather is Blowing Air

I was running all five tractors this morning when I noticed the TD-14 making a lot more noise. It was blowing air out of the breather connected to the intake manifold. The weather was nasty so I shut it down & came into the house. Now, in my armchair can I assume that in diesel mode if...

    TD-14 Head Gasket

Here's a pic of a 50675 DD gasket overlayed onto a 50675 DC gasket. It shows why a "D" gasket can replace a "C" gasket, but not the other way around. That's if you don't care about the shape of the holes. The two large holes on the bottom of the "D" gasket are solid on the "C" gasket. Vic

    TD-14 Head Gasket

Here's my "perfection". It is not the -14! When I get done with the crawler, if it runs fine! If not, no big deal. Vic This post was edited by thebunns on 06/01/2021 at 06:20 pm.

    TD-14 Head Gasket

Thanks! I'll have a look at them & determine if replacements are warranted. I may lay a board across the top of the motor & tip the head to have a look at it. I don't care about the valves as they were working when I shut the motor off. I'm not looking for a perfect engine stuck in a...

    TD-14 Head Gasket

I totally agree with you but, my question was: "Do I necessarily need to change them, and if so do they just pop out & in?" Vic

    TD-14 Head Gasket

Thank you, guys. As I am beyond (age wise) lifting tractor heads I plan on winching the head up enough to clear the studs & swapping the gaskets. One more thing, what about the fire rings? Do I necessarily need to change them, and if so do they just pop out & in? Vic

    TD-14 Head Gasket

I need a head gasket (p/n 50675 DC) for my International TD-14. I have a new gasket (p/n 50675 DD) for my TD-14A. What is the difference between the C (-14) & D (-14A) in part numbers? Will the gasket fit the -14?

    TD-14 Head Torque

I came up with a pattern that does exactly what you suggested but don't know how to post it here. Vic[/img:3d0c8dd456]

    TD-14 Head Torque

The torque pattern in the TD-14 service manual is not the correct illustration for head #8064DA on my tractor. It's the right head according to my TC-25-B parts catalog. Can somebody provide me with the correct torque pattern. Vic[/img:2900c8b507]

    9N temporary fuel tank

Here's my concoction! I drilled a hole in the plastic bottle & screwed a barbed fitting smeared with gorilla glue into it. The rest is obvious. Vic [/img:cc4ba1076f]
