I am able to wiggle the crank back and forth a bit by turning the fan by hand.

Someone out and jumped 12 volts from the positive lead on the solenoid to the s terminal. Got a little spark but nothing else. Did the same thing directly from the battery and again got a little spark but nothing else. That means the starter itself is in some way bad or at least locked up right...

Thanks everybody. Yeah mid-60s was too generic but it was late and I was tired LOL it's actually my son's tractor so I had to confirm with him. It's a 65H. I'm going to start at the starter and work backward to the switch and let you know what I find. Thanks again for the help

    Starter questions

Mid 60' Farmall: the push button starter isn't doing anything (and doesn't feel responsive - not springy like I feel I used to be) It was fine then it wasn't. Battery is new, cables are good. My assumptions are that either the button is bad, the wiring from the button to the solenoid is bad, the...

Rear hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

Well moving the ports to the other side of the rear block seems to have done it! Thank you again everyone! I'm certain this won't be my last post with questions

Rear hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

Yes we got everything up front working after that first post making sure those valves were in dual action and lined up correctly.

Rear hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

All three of the valves between my feet are in dual action. I actually wasn't aware there was another block in the back under the seat. The lines from the front connect to the block on it's left side when facing the ports. The output couplers are on the right side of the block. On the back...

Rear hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

I'm back with more hydraulic questions for my son's 560. And forgive what may seem like novice questions but we're brand new to tractors! The rear hydraulic ports are giving us issues. He had his haybine connected and was able to cut and raise and lower it for a little while and then he lost...

Hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

I think I got it! I took that makeshift retaining bracket off the three valve controllers and move them all to dual. The one on the left does have the pin broken off but I was able to tell where it's supposed to be. Everything seems to be functioning as it should. We will change the filter as...

Hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

To there are two hoses going to each cylinder. The hose is our clearly relatively new. The fittings all have sealant on them and are dry. None of the hoses have been disconnected since we got the tractor. I see the three control valves under the dash. The previous owner put some homemade...

Hydraulic help on our Farmall 560

Appreciate the reply. No idea when the filter was changed last as we just bought it. The hydraulics were all working fine for the better part of a week. Wouldnt that indicate that everything was hooked up correctly? So a hydraulic pressure gauge plugged into any of the hose connections? Or is...
