    Marvel Schebler TSX ID/Differences

Thanks. I looked at their kit and it was not complete enough for my carb. Ordered a complete kit from Steiner.

    Marvel Schebler TSX ID/Differences

Yep - info tag missing. Only numbers available are stamped on the bottom. Guessing 355 is a March 1955 build date. Maybe I could ask this a different way. Since this is a small bowl TSX type B ( 1 1/16 bore, 2 1/4 center to center mount) that correctly fits my Ford 640, would buying a premium...

    Marvel Schebler TSX ID/Differences

Long story short. I've had this tractor for 25 years. Came skinned and painted as a pre-64 Ford 2000 but stamped codes put it at a '57 640. It also came with an old Zenith carb that never ran right but I manged to keep it going. A couple years ago I ran across an old TSX that "fit" the tractor...

    640 ford govenor hunting problem

I was having the same problem on my 4cyl 2000. Carb adjustments were ineffective. I finally pulled the carb and did a complete rebuild. Only obvious problem was the float was out of adjustment. Reinstalled. Solved the problem.

    Zenith 267 Main Jet Adjustment

Well, no such creature in the rebuild kit. I repurposed one of the rubber throttle shaft bushings. I crammed it all in there and it seems to be doing the trick - tight and no slipping.

    Zenith 267 Main Jet Adjustment

That would make sense. Don't remember seeing anything like that in the kit. Guess I need to take another look.

    Zenith 267 Main Jet Adjustment

I had to do a rebuild on my Zenith 267 carb. Everything works and is running BUT the main jet adjustment doesn't have any tension. I can back it out and set it but with no tension it will begin to move on its own. Any ideas of what I may have done?

Fuel shutoff valve turning off on its own

Lesson learned. Never overlook the obvious. When I went to pull the carb for the second time and turn the fuel off -it was already off! That was my big clue. Opened it back up, started it and watched it close while it ran. The full filter was throwing me.

Fuel shutoff valve turning off on its own

Thanks. The visuals are always good. Need to finish burning off most of this tank so I can get started on the fix.

Fuel shutoff valve turning off on its own

Can I do this with the valve still attached to the tank? Is it necessary to replace the removed rivet? I'm guessing it just keeps the delivery screw from coming out all of the way. Where is the O ring located that needs to be replaced? On the shaft of the delivery screw?

Fuel shutoff valve turning off on its own

My 62 2000 kept shutting down and I was convinced my carb float was sticking closed. It turned out to be my shutoff valve at the tank was turning itself closed as the engine ran. Along with this I noticed a slight leak at the shutoff screw. It doesn't leak when all on or all off, just in the...

    Rebuilt Engine Break-In Period

Been slowly working up to that. Just needed some input into how long I should let things proceed before I make the swap. It is nice to have no more smoke and snappy torque.

    Rebuilt Engine Break-In Period

I just rebuilt my 134 on my Ford 2000. What is the recommended break-in period? (Change oil, put on a load, etc)
