Zenith 267 Main Jet Adjustment

I had to do a rebuild on my Zenith 267 carb.
Everything works and is running BUT the main jet adjustment doesn't have any tension.
I can back it out and set it but with no tension it will begin to move on its own.
Any ideas of what I may have done?

There should be a packing under that nut that locks it from vibrating and readjusting it self

That would make sense. Don't remember seeing anything like that in the kit. Guess I need to take another look.

Well, no such creature in the rebuild kit. I repurposed one of the rubber throttle shaft bushings. I crammed it all in there and it seems to be doing the trick - tight and no slipping.

Sounds like you got one of those cheap TSC kits that leave parts out. Me I use the Walker brand kits you can get at an O'Reilly's auto store
