    PTO tool for 70 series

I use a hose pliars for that job. A lot better than trying it with vice grips and watching the snap ring fly away or hit you in the face. Harbor Freight cheapo.

That part of Nebraska was Catholic. If I remember correctly Junior had 17 kids, some still in the area.

    Case dealer

Woods was the dealership my Father used. Dad bought tractors from Oren and Junior Woods. Some of my earliest memories are the smell of oil and metal when Dad was at Woods. I still have an early DC Dad bought from them. Our farm was 12 miles away.

    2394 shift under a load

I need help with family argument. We are a cattle farm so excuse the ignorance about tillage. My son is using my 2394 on a 20 ft Deere's single fold disc. He is using it to cut the sod on some worn out terraces so he can use his old grader to flatten the terraces. He is using 3rd gear...

    How many do you have?

Forgot the 5220. More David Brown than Case. 1210 if counting David Brown. The 1494 died.

    David Brown 1210

If I remember, just remove the shaft between the pump and harmonic balancer to put the belt over the harmonic balancer. I believe 4 bolts on each end holds the shaft in place. RG Martin can tell you in detail.

    Final round of FEECO pics

Just a good scrubbing with soapy water. An iodine scrub like a surgeon uses to scrub his hands would be perfect. Do you know someone who works in a hospital? Probably could pick it up at a pharmacy.

Probably not soot. Probably mold growing on spilled fuel.

    Parts for 1494

I spent part of the winter dismantling my 1494 to rebuild it. After looking at the cost to rebuild the engine and transmission, I decided not to. I hate to just scrap the disassembled parts, so if someone can use any of them, they are free. In west central Missouri.

    thoughts on Case 1494

Others like RG Martin are more knowledgeable but I have had one for a number of years. No cab so I can't speak to the a/c or heat. We have abused it ours but it has done a lot of work. If you plug in the block heater it starts well. It is a David Brown tractor so you need a limey...

    Strange 4894?

Another difference is the powershift control lever is in the console, not the dash.
