    I did a brake job on a 1950 Ford 8n tractor, and Im getting two different answers about the axle torque, on the nut, book saids 450 lb,,,someone else said 350lb, isnt 450 lb a lot?

    If I ever get the rear hub off my 1950 Ford 8n tractor, how hard is it to put the hub back on the axle? Im hoping it has just one outer oil seal which is leaking. Any answers?

    Pro gasket

    My 1950 ford 8n is leaking it looks like around the pto gasket, if I change the gasket is that usually why they leak? I cant tell any possible other way why its leaking and do I loose all the oil in the rear end case?

    Axle nut

    Im pulling the rear wheel off my 1950 ford 8n tractor, leaking seal, the axle nut had to be taken off with a impack wrench, very hard to take off all the way, when I put the axel nut back on its very hard to screw on, and stopped half way, cant budge it any more, is this normal? The nut is not...

    Removing rear hub from axle

    Having real problems trying to get the rear hub off the axle, probley will have to use a torch with the puller, my question is will it be hard to put the hub back on? Im replacing a leaky axle seal,on a 1950 ford 8n tractor

    My rear end axle seals are leaking on the drum, on my 1950 ford 8n tractor, I got the brake drum off and now I need to pull the hub, my question is, once I pull the hub off the axle, with my puller, does it slip back on or do I have to have it pressed back on the axle.     I have a 1950 Ford 8n tractor the rear right axle is blown, and the brakes are probley wet,any way I got down to take off the drum and its stuck, so I will probley have to get a larger drum puller. My question is, the bearing looks like its pressed on the axel, can I replace the oil seals...
