    Gleaner injection pump

Throttle shaft was leaking on our F2 a few years ago and had the pump rebuilt. They set the rpm at the shop, but I had to increase it. If you have an F2 engine manual the info is there. It is also a good time to pull the injectors and have them tested. Tom

Help! M does not run smooth

Our 1937 Allis Chalmers WC years ago ran smooth under load, but it would blubber at idle. A veteran mechanic (long ago deceased) told me to open the plug gap to 40 thousands. I did - and the tractor has run smooth at idle ever sense. If this works on orange it will work on red. Tom

    Feeder Beater Guides Question

Don't Know for sure about a K, but a few years ago we replaced the fingers, bushings and guides on our F2 feeder beater. The guides were metal; the guides on the cross auger on the grain head are plastic. Tom

    1086 Hy-Tran

Should the three-point be up or down when checking HY-Tran fluid level? Operators manual is silent on this issue.

    1086 motor

I stand corrected; the 1086 was not intercooled. These are old tractors with many hours on them. Proper preventative maintenance will keep them in service for a few more years. Tom

    1086 motor

The 1086 is intercooled and turbo charged. We are satisfied with our 1086; just be patient with the shifting. Tom
