Farmall 806 Steering and 3 point

Not yet, I just replaced it last year and I don't put a lot of hours on it. But definitely on my list to do

Farmall 806 Steering and 3 point

Hello, I'm looking for some guidance on my 806. I was battling a problem with hard steering last fall. When I finally got around to working on it this spring, I pulled the MCV and found the key on the gear had been wobbled out and the shaft on the pump was torn up. I replaced the pump and filled...

2955 Hydraulic Reservoir check valve hoses

I found the nipple on the transmission, thanks! I had to take the valve out of the reservoir to find the right size hose and there was no spring, ball or retainer. Any chance that can fall off in the reservoir or is it likely just missing?

2955 Hydraulic Reservoir check valve hoses

I only see occasional drips, but I wanted to ensure it gets connected properly. So if one hose goes to the pump, the other one connects to the transmission? Where is that nipple located?

2955 Hydraulic Reservoir check valve hoses

The parts manual does have a diagram showing one hose going to an elbow on the pump, but that's for a later serial number range than I have. For the nipple on the transmission cover, do you know where it is? I looked around the clutch and transmission housings and didn't see anything obvious.

2955 Hydraulic Reservoir check valve hoses

Hoping someone can help! I picked up a 2955 at auction and unfortunately the owner had disconnected the small hoses connected to the check valve. I can see the diagrams for the valve in the service manual and parts manual, but I can't tell where the other end of the hoses go. The owners son had...

    Eliminate Hydraulic Motor on Implement

Thanks all! I had to get garlic planted before it rained last night, so as a short term solution I just ran a hose from one of the remotes to the ram. The tractor operator had to control the raising/lowering rather than the people in the transplanter. After finishing everyone felt that was...

    Eliminate Hydraulic Motor on Implement

I have an Ellis transplanter (used to plant garlic, onions, peppers, etc.) and it has it's own battery, hydraulic motor, reservoir and ram. The motor is run by a toggle switch between the seats, and the ram is single action (hydraulic up, gravity down). Recently the motor went out on me and...

    Farmall M Transmission and Engine

With one wheel jacked up and transmission manually put in 5th, I can move the engine using the lifted wheel. I'll work on getting the top cover and gas tank back on and see what it does now. Thanks!

    Farmall M Transmission and Engine

Makes sense, so while I have the top cover off still, should I be able to put it in 5th and turn the wheels to turn the engine, or will that be too hard to do by hand?

    Farmall M Transmission and Engine

I'm working on a 1952 Farmall M for a relative, just trying to get it running (not restore). This tractor has been sitting around for a long time so I'm trying to check it over bit by bit. The main problem is that it won't turn over and start. I found the battery was old and likely no good, but...

Farmall 806 Hydraulics and 3 point not working

Just to wrap this up for anyone that ends up with the same problem, I decided to buy a new 2000 psi relief valve (around 200 at Bates), and the Hydraulics work perfectly now. It was the easiest part to replace so I went with that first.
