    2510 remote hydraulics; fundamentals

Not a bad idea, thanks. So essentially having the PTO power a hydraulic pump, which would then power a hydraulic motor.

    2510 remote hydraulics; fundamentals

Thank you, Yes, it is a diesel syncro, with the old 4-piston pump. I could upgrade to the 8-piston if needed. The intention would be to run the motor/shaker intermittently with 10-15 second bursts, maybe 5 minutes apart. Something like that.

    2510 remote hydraulics; fundamentals

Revealing my ignorance here... My 2510 has dual remotes which I have never used. The seller did show me that they worked, about 10 years ago. I would like to use one of them to power a hydraulic motor (building a tree shaker, probably drawbar attached so that it doesn't shake the tractor too...

    Joining 2510 after split

Just to close out this thread...I finally got it joined. I added air to all tires to close the top gap a little bit, and that got me to within a quarter inch of joined. Lifted the front axle a tiny bit more with a floor jack and it went the rest of the way. If I ever do this again I hope I...

    Joining 2510 after split

Thanks. Yes, two stage clutch. The pto disc is free to move around. The manual does not say to push down the pto levers, plus I couldn't exert that much force anyway (I tried ).

    Joining 2510 after split

It is stopping right about when the two guides start to meet the clutch housing. A gap of .72 inches. If anyone knows the trick to getting through this last little bit, please let me know. I tried turning the pto but it seems to be stuck slightly before the pto twines come into play.

    Joining 2510 after split

I am trying to join my 2510 after splitting it to replace the clutch top plate (pto plate was broken). It is stopping I did use the special tool to get the transmission clutch disc centered.

    Rebuild synchro shifting

The fellow who built up my 2510 shifter did it by brazing, if I remember correctly.

    2520 diesel solenoid

Had a similar problem on my 2510 a few years ago. Solved it by cleaning the solonoid and reversing one of the contact points because it had become worn on one side.

    Turbo on 2510?

I do notice now that the advertised tractor has a single SCV.

    Turbo on 2510?

There is a 2510 listed for sale on Tractorhouse having a 239T engine. From comments in this forum, I had the impression that a turbocharger wouldn't fit under a 2510 hood. If someone can do it with a 239, couldn't it be done with a 202? Might be a relatively inexpensive way to increase...

    John Deere 2510 Clutch Issues

Is there oil coming out of the clutch access plate? If so it could be a leaking rear engine seal, making the clutch plates stick. Happened to me last year.
