    Farmall 450 Wiring Issue

I am currently rewiring my 450. I created my own harness. I have checked and double checked everything and it seems to be wired correctly. But I have no lights. Every time I turn the light switch everything goes dead. I have power to one side of the ammeter but none coming out the other when...

Farmall 450 IH Wide Front End.

I make a lot of hay with my 450 and I guess the only reason I want a wide front is because the narrow front is always running over the windrows when I am mowing and crimping the hay. The narrow front really drives the hay into the ground and takes longer for it to dry.

Farmall 450 IH Wide Front End.

I would like to put an IH wide front for my 450. I see a lot more aftermarket fronts but I would like to stick with IH. How much are IH wide front ends going for? I dont see too many for sale.

    Farmall 450 priority valve

So its time to repair the power steering on my 450. Really hard to steer unless I move a hydro lever so it sounds like its my priority valve. Where can I find information regarding rebuilding the priority valve or where can I get a rebuilt unit.

    MT Front Mount Blade

I just picked up a John Deere ABG front mount blade. I would like to modify the belly mount to make it work for my MT. Does anybody have a picture of the belly mount for an MT type blade?

    Farmall 450 Hydraulic Detent

I will be tearing into my 450 this winter to work on weak power steering issue. While I am there I would like to fix the hydraulic valves. The detent doesn't work very well on two and not at all on the main one for the fast hitch. Are the parts easily fixable? I remember trying to fix this issue...

    What equipment for tillage?

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I am more of a fan of tillage than no till. We live in a karst region and the sprays go directly to the ground water surprisingly fast. I worry about chisel plowing but I will try it shallow at first. My grandfather farmed the field next to this one for years...

    What equipment for tillage?

My soils are right on the edge of the deep soils. The majority of the field I’m looking at has about 6-8” of soil on top of a thick layer of limestone. There are lots of areas with a lot less soil on top. I was thinking the coil tine digger could be used in place of a chisel so I could stay...

    What equipment for tillage?

Im from se MN and I’m new to planting and raising crops. Mostly familiar with baling native grasses for hay. But I would like to start planning for about 20 to 40 acres of tillable ground. I am not familiar with equipment required for preparing the ground for corn and beans and etc. I have...

    HP Required

I’m looking at buying an 11’ wide coil tine cultivator. Will my Farmall 450 pull it easily? It’s got right around 50 hp. My 14’ disc is more than my tractor wants when set all the way down.

    400 Chevy Small Block

I just checked the numbers on my 61 Chevy Viking i just bought. Its not running yet but turns out it has a 400 small block in it. I was expecting a 283 or 327. Has anybody ever driven a 400 small block truck? I hope its got some good power/torque. The only thing i can compare it to is a 292...

    John Deere 14t help

I changed feeder fork settings a few times in the field. It wasn’t as bad when windrows were larger. I tried picking up the hay in the far left side of the pickup. I am guessing that the oats was so light that it just didn’t feed all the way in. I tried everything to make nice bales.
