    Cracked block repair

    I repaired a SH that was cracked in #2 Cylinder wall 6" long. V'ed it out with a dremel tool. Then drilled 1/8"hole every 1/2" thru the crack to create a stiching to hold the JB weld.     SH won't start

    All the ignition parts are less than 40 hours old in the field. there is fire at the points but nothing at #1 or #4 spark plug when removed and grounded. When I changed to 12V I did add the supplied resistor. I guess I will pursue replacing the coil w/12v. Any thoughts... let me know.

    Disc Brake repair on SH

    I was told you could repair worn brake housing tolerance on disc brake assemblies by replacing the steel balls in the actuator plates. I don't think I have seen that discussed before. Where would you find larger steel balls??

    Correct PTO assembly on 53 Sh II ?

    Last Saturday I was on a 29 mile tractor ride. I real nice gentleman looked at my SH stage II when we parked for lunch. He said I had a PTO assembly off an earlier tractor. Does this look like the correct pto for SH stage II? The lower is on 53 SH that I have mower on. They look the same to me.
