    Will check the floats for sure. Someone posted that a worn-down ball assembly in the governor could also cause it to flood out when going sideways.... possible or not?

    Thanks Jim. It has gas because it floods, I have to push it on level ground and drain the carb to restart.

    Ford 8N stalls and floods when driving sideways on slight inclines, I also have a 9N that doesn't.... any ideas? Thanks!

    Seems to be hydraulic fluid not oil, so looks like the transmission seal?

    Thank you everyone, your knowledge sure helps! Here's another thing that has me scratching my head. She's leaking pretty good, and when I went to check the drain plugs I saw this... looks like a cotter pin? Is this a normal thing? Thanks again!

    Hi all, new to the forum. I just purchased a 1940 9N to start restoring. I was wondering if this is where the dipstick is suppose to be to check the fluid level? looks like it is blocked/capped, don't know if this is correct. Also, the grill says "Ferguson System"... is this correct for a Ford...
