    Early Tractor Conversion

It seems any farm that was around during The Depression up until 1960 or so usually has a similar ''Doodlebug'' stashed away somewhere on the property. A lot of companies offered ready made conversion kits you could buy too. All you had to supply was your time and a second-hand, 5.oo Model ''T''!

841 Elenco featured in in Antique Power magazine

OK, now thats a real nice Ford too! My dad had an industrial version (3500) of yours. I dont think that diesel ever ran on all 3 cylinders at one time, nor did it seem to fire the same 2 cylinders it DID run on from day-to-day...

841 Elenco featured in in Antique Power magazine

Paying you to take the pie weights!

The ad says it doesnt run, so it could be anything from air in the fuel system to a broken crankshaft in a diesel, but for 500.oo I'd chance it. Its now listed as ''Pending''.

Paying you to take the pie weights!

Buy the tractor for 500.oo, remove the weights (and maybe that Power Steering set up) and sell the rest of the tractor for 1200.oo! On FBM in PA. 1950? 871 D

    Thursday Crawler

The engine in this''60'' is an Atlas Imperial Diesel. That conversion was the only way you could get a diesel in a cat until they started building diesel engines themselves in 1931.

That carburettor needs a rebuild because beating on the float bowl with a wrench obviously didnt work!

    2N Carb

I know, I know. Those Chinese-made parts are cheap knock-offs of the good ol' Marvel Schebler TSX-33s and no REAL 'Merican would ever use one. I've heard them dissed on here for years, but I have put a few on tractors or stationary engines and havent had a problem with one yet. Remember...
