756 GAS TRACTOR RUNS WITH FULL CHOKE

I have experienced that issue several times. Always a clogged jet in my experience. I disassembled , boil in white vinegar , single strand of wire from wire brush through jets I can get to. Rinse in baking soda and water. Blow it out with air. Good luck

    My Dad's 444 has problems...

also, WHEN MEASURING TRANSMISSION FLUID ON THE STICK THERE IS USUALLY A PROCEDURE FOR CHECKING IT. My 584 requires me to run the tractor at a certain R P M for 3 minutes and THEN check fluid level. Yours may be similar . Google until you find a manual which gives you a procedure as well as where...

    My Dad's 444 has problems...

I can comment on the milky oil. I have a 424 gas burner with no auxillary hydraulics . It has a reservoir for the 3 point lift but separate transmission fluid. I run Hy Tran in both. The transmission fluid is always milky no matter how often I change it . The tractor stays in the barn so I know...

Freeze crack on block. Farmall 230 (C-123)

If you try the K%W please be sure to follow directions on the container. You cannot just pour it into existing coolant as I think you have to drain and start from scratch. I think I remember that there are specific instructions as to how to get a good seal.

    new disk blades

Also, realize that the blades will be worn about 1/2 to 1 inch shorter than original. The supplier should be able to use your actual measurement to surmize the original length / size.

    new disk blades

I measured from the outside when I replaced mine this week. The supplier also used that measurement .

Freeze crack on block. Farmall 230 (C-123)

I will get criticized for this but I will throw it out there anyway . K & W fiberlock [ I think name is correct ?? ] is a product I used to stop a heater core leak. It has held two years on an aluminum heater core. I have a mechanic friend who tells me it has sealed a cracked block on a dump...

    584 fuel issue

Thanks - I have considered replacing with rubber but I need to be sure it would flow at the same volume as the copper line leading to the filters.

Not to hijack a thread, but does this mean I can quit running high octane in my old 1966 model 424 ?

    584 fuel issue

The discussion below about the 584 prompts me to mention my ongoing issue on my 584 . Tractor runs great until about 1/4 full in tank and then effectively starts running out of fuel and draws air into lines. I have cleaned and blown air and done all the usual to no avail. I believe I may have...
