    140 hydraulic

Trying to get parts to rebuild hydraulic pump. Gave the dealership Model number and Serial number. Now they want to know what make the pump is? How do I identify this pump? Shouldn't they know or be able to help me identify the pump? They say this tractor came with two different pumps.

    140 6 to 12 volt

Thanks for all the help Jim. I do believe the relay is the problem and will replace it. Do you know where I can get a 12 volt relay? All I've been able to fine are 6 volt.

    140 6 to 12 volt

There was two wires connected to the relay, 1 right from the battery and a smaller wire. I did disconnect the smaller wire so the only connection was, battery negative to ground, and battery positive to starter. I cleaned the ground to tractor again to make sure I was getting a good ground and...

    140 6 to 12 volt

I brought a new alternator single pole. It was originally a 6 volt with a generator and regulator. And it was positive ground. what I don't get is I haven't wired any of that in yet. just put the 12 volt battery in. negative ground and positive to starter. i did put a resister before the coil...

    140 6 to 12 volt

I thought I knew what I was doing but I was wrong. All I did was set the 12 volt battery in the tractor. Hook up the negative to ground. the hot goes straight to the starter. discounted the small wire at the solenoid and touch the starter cable to the positive terminal and got sparks, lots of...

6 volt to 12 volt on model 140

Yes Bob you are right, it is a resister not a condenser. Wasn't thinking. I will suggest a change to a 12 volt solenoid but i'm doing this for my brother so it's up to him. Thanks for the info, Wayne

6 volt to 12 volt on model 140

I have done this conversion on a couple other tractors but not an International. I will put a condenser before the coil to drop the current from 12 to 6 volt. But what about the solenoid on the starter? Will it handle the 12 volts or do I need to add a resister there or do I replace it with a 12...

Front loader on an 8/9 N

Does a front loader on an 8/9N run off the tractor hydraulic pump and only work when the clutch is engaged or is it on its own pump and work with the clutch in or out?

    Front plow lift arms

Sorry, this is a front plow on a model 140. it is a farmal plow. Just a part that got loss sometime in it's live. Was just looking for a place to get one without going to a dealer ship. It's goes on the end of the arm where it connects to the hydralic gear box.

    Front plow lift arms

The left hand side arm is good but the right hand side arm doesn't have the part to connect to the hydraulic unit, just the arm. Any idea where to look for this piece.
