    Hauling 2 tractors

I usually haul only one tractor. This weekend I’m going on a ride with my son, therefore the need for the second tractor. One tractor is a 4020, roughly 8700 lbs and an IH 454, roughly 4800 lbs. I have a 3/4 ton pickup with a 28 foot gooseneck and two 7,000 lb axles with single wheels. I will be...

    Tractor ride weekend

We had 40 tractors on a ride in northeast Nebraska. Sunny day but a light jacket felt good until mid-morning. They had rain the day before so no dust.

    Dieseltech tractor rides

Saw your 4020 on a YouTube by Dirt, Grain and Steel. He was showing the tractors at a tractor/steam show. He remarked that it was a 4020 power shift and that the tractor had been on 1800 miles of rides this year. It would be interesting to see all the modifications that Dieseltech has made to...

    Rear Ender 3pt attachment

Gnuse makes loader buckets for a 3 point hitch. See them occasionally on larger row crop tractor with duals. Probably grain farmers that dont need a loader but need something to move snow and grave.

    First of the year

What do you do in northeast Nebraska when the weatherman predicts 60 degrees for the first Saturday of March? You start a calling tree and have a tractor ride. 26 tractors showed up for a 25 mile ride followed by giant hamburgers and side dishes of French fries, onion rings, cheese balls,etc...

    Electric trailer landing jacks

I have seen several trailers that came from the factory with hydraulic ramps but have never seen any conversions. Who manufactured your jack and ramp conversions?

    Electric trailer landing jacks

What is the name of the manufacturer of the jacks you used in your conversion?

    Electric trailer landing jacks

Dave, I think you and Steve might have several good ideas. Would a cordless 1/2 inch drill or cordless 1/2 impact be the better tool and would a drill/ impact have enough torque to run the jack (trailer not loaded)? I think I would try to fabricate a nut welded to an adapter I could bolt onto...

    Electric trailer landing jacks

I’ve been doing a little research about adding an electric motor to the landing jacks on my gooseneck trailer. Bulldog makes a kit to use with their jacks. A trailer dealer says he has added this unit to trailers with different brand jacks. The trailer has two single speed jacks. Does anybody...

first john deere tractor you bought?

My first and only John Deere is the 4020 Dad bought new in 1967. My brother used it after Dad retired and I bought it from my sister-in-law after my brother passed away. I’ve had some mechanical work done on it including a 12 volt conversation and have taken it on five tractor rides. Hope to...

    4020 paint color

I’m having my 1967 4020 repainted. I did a search on YT to find the correct color for this tractor. Some owners are happy with Classic Green and some are happy with John Deere Ag Green. Someone said that the color change between Classic Green and Ag Green was between the 4x30 and 4x40 series...
