Starter
Seems its time to replace a starter...quit working last week...took unit apart and blew the rust off it...shined it up...brushes look good...but still wont turn. So....has anybody had any luck with these new aftermarket starters on this site or ebay? I see some have a solenoid on them...- WB 9n

Thanks guys....don"t remember any side play in shaft....had a little front to back movement. Also.don"t remember the brand of points...didn"t see name on them....should I splurge for the blue streak sold here or try what my local advance or oreily has?- WB 9n

9n dist spark ?
Got what appears to be an original 9n still on 6 volt positive ground. I've changed carb and adjusted per manual specs..new gas line...new shut off and sed bowl...new battery...new coil...points...rotor and cap. She's hard to start most days...when it does start..generator is showing about...- WB 9n
