    Unthreaded Carriage Bolt Blanks?

We picked up a used NH 155 elevator. The windless cables were a little off kilter. They were new, but strung incorrectly. We got a deal at TSC for two cable remnants that were just the right length at TSC, and replaced them. In the process, I removed the cast idler wheels at the top that...

    H decal location

We have a '49 H that was bought new with lights, been in the family since that time, and has never (until last year) been repainted. The gear shift pattern decal was always on the tank. I even sat in the shed on a stake out to see if I could see that decal move. Snuck up on the tractor...

IH 450 less desireable than Super M?

I'd rather have a 400/450 over a SM/SMTA. Plus, the 400/450 had 3 remotes, which sure made it easier for a hyd cultivator. I think the IPTO has already been brought up.

    OT: I think I've messed up.....(kinda long)

I stopped riding. You can call me soft (or worse), but there are too many people with their nose burried in their phone when they're driving. Too many close calls from cars that were not paying attention. I missed it at first, but now it doesnt bother me. Too busy going to the kids games...

Is salt on the nations roads an environmental issue?

Looking For Farm tour Near St Louis MO

There's not much big time farming left in St. Charles County anymore. Too much development for subdivisions. You can take a drive up Hwy 79 and still see some big ag in the river valley. Otherwise, you'll have to go north to Lincoln County. You can also go north out of the City of St...

    farmall red paint

If the tractor is going to be a worker, and you dont care if it is the "correct" color of red, then IH 2150 from the dealership. If you want the correct color, I think it is IH 50, which you have to have made up at an auto paint supplier. I used DuPont's Nason line for a tractor that doesn't...

OT Cement thickness and specs for driveway?

4,000 psi. 6" reinforced or 8' unreinforced would be best, I think.

    Property Owners

You referenced an article from 25 years ago? And, that was a propane line, not a crude line. No matter how people feel about them, pipelines are still the most economical and safest way to transport petroleum products in the US. The scarier method of transport is via rail, like the Quebec...

Fuel in those quart cans ?

I started using the TruFuel stuff in my trimmer and in a leaf blower when it first came out. I think it has prolonged the life of the trimmer. I run the trimmer for 15 minutes and the blower for 5 minutes, once a week. Never had a problem with either. The trimmer is 13 years old and the...

A little OT: Farmall Tractor Wrap for my Pickup

To be honest, I dont think that a company would pay to have their logo on your car, especially if it looks like a corporate marketing function, like a wrap. The situation is too uncontrolled. They cannot keep you from speeding, parking in certain areas or at establishments where they dont want...

    dont know what to think

I think you run with it and not even think about the last renter. they screwed up the relationship with the owner, not you. And since you know the owner values how his ground is managed more than the almighty dollar, you should do everything you can to make sure you take care of it the way he...
