    Farmall Super A Question

    Had the same difficulty with our Farmall BN late 46. Found that the striker pad on the points was warn not allowing the points to open properly causing what was effectively advancing the timing. Lubed up every thing, reset the points gap. now works as it should.

    AnIHC seat with crimped edge. The person or company must know how to properly re upholster and re close the crimped edge. There was at one time such a company but haven't seen one since/

    Are there any of you finding that the points striker [part that rubs on the cam] is wearing out rather quickly / wearing down causing the 20 thousands gap to close down; or is it just my IHC Farmall BN. The cam is /has been polished by hand [I found it had been rough /back several years ago]...

    Thank you Used Red MN: for the information have re connected re shuffled and re set any faulty connections>>now have all things up and running properly, on the 12 volt system on the IHC BN found some bad wire joints in the panel along the way so corrected them too. Thank you again. Wm.
