    5.9 cummins repower

I always used the clutch and pressure plate for a White 120 application, as long as the flywheel is also from a White 120

1850 PTO drive hub, solid or spring dampened?

I think the early tractors had the spring dampened drive hub that you're talking about and the later (after 67) had the solid. I also believe that if you were to change to a solid hub, you would also have to change the long pto shaft (early and late are different) and flywheel (early and late...

    1850 perkins engine swap?

There is an engine serial number break on the 2-85 going from a 6.354.1 to a 6.354.4 and T6.354.1 to a T6.354.4 for the 2-105 tractor. The 1st engine you posted is an early engine (T6.354.1)

    1850 perkins engine swap?

That second serial number looks like a dot 3 engine possible white 8800 combine application? Is that engine turboed? if so there might be a "T" missing from in front of the "6.3543..." serial number. Anyways if that is the case the oil group from a dot 4 engine is what you are looking for...

    1850 perkins engine swap?

Send me the engine serial number for each engine (on the flat surface near the injection pump) and we can surely come up with something

    White 2-105 steering problems

I responded to your last post about having no steering....what did you do to get the steering to work? Did you remove the shims in the priority valve?

    White 2-105 hydraulic issue

Try removing the shims in the priority valve (the one with the tallest cap)...if the priority is shimmed too firm it won't allow the oil to access the steering ...also make sure the unloader valve is working. When you shut off the tractor you should here a click/clunk in the pressure valve...

    2-105 engine into 1850

On the same line of thinking with rrlund, I would just unbolt the white engine frame...bolt that to the 1850 rear end and just drill and tap the holes for the cast oliver grill (5/8-11)...then you will have very little if any engine alignment issues and you will be able to keep the newer engine...

    55 series hyd charge pumps

Yes but it's not an easy swap. The drive gear in the transmission is a different tooth count and cut at a different angle, so to do this update you need to pull the top cover/ hydraulic unit and change the gear in the transmission first, then the rest is "outside changes". I've done them in...

Brakes on 1855. something aint right?

Have you removed the piston from the housing? I had one that the stem for the parking brake part of the piston broke, although everything was still in tacked and not leaking, it created a situation like what you have by increasing the overall length/height of the piston

    1955 PTO Issue

Yes I would agree....it's usually the simple things....you may also have some play in the lever that pulls the valve up (the roll pins wear with age)?.don't be to hard on yourself for removing the pto unit. I've gone through the same problem on a 2-105....if you have access to a 2-85/2-105 shop...

    1955 PTO Issue

Pretty sure you should have no oil going to return when operating. The return line is for the pressurized oil to escape when the pto is put in neutral or off. If you plug the return line when the pto is engaged is should work properly. You should be able to use regular shop air the pressurize...

    1955 PTO Issue

I would check the 2 snap rings in the control valve (#14) page 103 in the parts book. Seen them break before and cause the same problems your describing
