Anyone know what the pressure shound be on prussure line going up to steering valve on a 105?
I took return line off and start it up and getting a ton of pressure coming out of it book says 2cups a min max so not sure what to think put it back on it steers fine but have no prussure going to 3point or remotes so I think all my prussure is going though this when it shouldn't be this is the 3th used one I've put on it we had a pressure gauge on prussure line on it before and it was 1500 at a idle and it was pulsating and the needle was jumping on gauge does this mean anything to anyone?

Book is white technical service manual it say to unhook return line start up and you shouldn't put more then 500ml a min out that's roughly two cups but it is blowing it out

I responded to your last post about having no steering....what did you do to get the steering to work? Did you remove the shims in the priority valve?

Two types of hydraulic systems, Open center used on 50 series, 1555, 1655 & 2-70.   Open center means when the unit is in "N" fluid can free flow through from inlet to return.   Closed center means when the unit is in "N" flow is blocked.   Your 2-105 has a Closed center system.

From the information that you provided, you have the wrong control unit as you stated that a lot of fluid was flowing through.   The control unit has an identification stamped in the area between the ports.   Open center control units are stamped MOD UD4-31.   Closed center units are stamped MOD ND1-61 These are the identification for units used on Oliver & White tractors.

Those control units were very reliable with very few concerns.   System overheated would cause them to "lock up", this was not the fault of the control unit.   Technical Service Manual #432 554 dated 1 - 74 covers the control unit.
