    Yes, its and all purpose 4600, not SU. I need to find a tie rod end that has the same taper and diameter to weld on. I suppose I could also just replace the entire tube, but figured it would be more expensive and not be greaseable.

    1980 Ford 4600, is there a way to replace the tie rod end that is welded on the tube that connects to the steering arm at the gear box? Its either that or buy an entire tube. Thinking someone might know of a part number for tie rod end that can be welded in place. Thanks!

    Very nice. What makes the spiral? Id the blade installed at an angle? Do you just turn the pipe by hand and push?

    More than likely your cables are broken. The plastic retainer that keeps the cable sheath stationary breaks and the sheath moves instead of the cable.

    Irwin 3057034 34 Piece Fastener Drive Tool Set has been nice to have. Has long torx bits that are handy for Stihl chainsaw cylinder removal. I bought my kit off eBay year or two ago.

    Hello. Im noticing a decent amount of smoke coming out of valve cover breather when engine is under a load shredding. Weve owned this tractor since the 70s I believe. Not overheating, getting water in the oil, or losing coolant. Seems to run fine. Bad rings? I havent checked compression.

    4600 tie rod ends

    My tie rod ends are loose on my 4600. Both shafts: from steering box to axle and from wheel to wheel. Can new ends be welded in place or must I replace entire shaft? If new ends can be welded on, what part numbers do I need?
