1530 Thermostat

1530 John Deere. Where to buy thermostat and gasket? I didnt see it in this site. Also, I see two options for temperature gauge. Should I buy over the other?

If you are looking at the two universal coolant gauges on the 1530 parts page at the YT Store, I think from reading the description the face of one just has colored ranges and the other has degree numbers. So it comes down to which you prefer having.

The JD parts book shows two thermostats AT22961 (180 F) subs to RE33705 (183 F) or AT22963 (194 F). The AT22691 and RE33705 both cross to Gates 33008 and the AT22963 crosses to a Gates 33009S. The T20215 gasket may cross to a Gates 33637. So that gives you JD numbers you can go to a dealer with. You can use the numbers to go to a parts store with or call YT and see if they can cross them to what they have. For a diesel, I would go with the 194 F one if available.

Thank you very much. It is a diesel. You recommend the 194
over 180 deg F thermostat? I wasnt sure which one to get.

Thanks! I found it odd that the only way I could find the parts on this site was too type in the Deere part number. They do t come up when searching under 1530 parts for someone reason. Thanks again!

Always a good idea to search using a part number, if you have one. The same part may fit multiple models, but not be listed by name under a given model.
