    One other question on a Gleaner K2

    There's been comments on removing the chopper, it's a PITA to remove that drive belt !! Just find/make the shields, pull the fingers out and change the driven pulley to SLOW and carry on

    I'm curious to know how there can be 4 forward and 2 reverse gears in a 3 forward/1 reverse system with variable speed ?? We ran one BTW :-) !!

    Some of you guys mentioned a 1070, WHY ??? I rode one of them (Desert Tan) with a cab and MUCH preferred the 730/830 open station :-) !!

    Curious?

    I was taught to drive tractors on a WD, that was the small tractor on the farm(delegated to planter duty; pulling the ground driven NI manure spreader and hauling wagons of ear corn off of the field) while the D-17 was the big dog :-) !!

    New Combine

    Our F2 has a shield between the chopper and the walkers to prevent damage, I just assumed this was a factory item :-)

    K2 Tranny Question

    We ran a straight F years ago, seems like the gear shift (non hydro) was on the top of the console and a single lever, our F2 (gear drive ) has 2 seperate levers and are down closer to the floor

    F2 floating header sickle head

    Not an answer as to what you need to do, but SHOUPPS has that bearing assembly for a 300 series table if that's what you have ?? Ours is a 315 model
