Simple (?) Hydraulic question
Can you explain what a “flapper” is? Do you mean like what can happen with rubber brake lines on older vehicles where the rubber deteriorates internally and can block fluid movement in one direction? How would I test/check a line? I’m open to this possibility as I “think” the max lift height... -

Ford 850 OEM Tires? Tubed? Fixable?
Mechanically inclined but newish to old tractors. Right rear tire developed a leak in the tread area (see pic). That’s when I discovered that tire was filled with liquid Other side is not. The sidewall indicates it is a 13.6”x28” tire. But it also says 12”x28” which is confusing (see pic)... -

Appreciate the help. To assuage your concern about ”really” putting a load on it, I ran the bush hog over half an acre and then swapped to the rototiller and ran it as deep as it’ll go over an 1/8 acre three times with great success. That’s as much of a load as it’ll ever experience in my... -

UPDATE: The milkshake air filter oil cup situation was a red herring. Still needed to be dealt with though. The real issue was the main jet needle needing another 3/4 turn out (richer). Runs excellent now! It ran good before this debacle, so what changed? Did the needle vibrate closed 1/2 a... -

Air filter oil level?
That was my gut feeling. But, there is also marks on either side of “Oil Level” too. -

850. Oil cup on air filter has confusing marks for full. One up high says “oil level“and the one down much lower says “Hi”. See pic. Which one is the correct fill level? -

It runs fine at 3/4 throttle so wouldn’t that mean flow isn’t an issue? It only dies out at the slightest hint of a load. -
