The plate on the clutch driveshaft coupler which everything bolts through has slop in it and all the holes are shined up. Also the rubber pieces in the joint are as hard as concrete. I think this is where the noise was coming from. As to the ring gear, it actually looks fine. I didn't take the greatest picture and I think the reflection/dirt is what is being seen. It has no chips or unusual wear. I think I'm either going to look for another complete transmission or part it out and keep everything for my other Super A, A, BN. I only paid $800 for the tractor with a set of cultivators. I did put tires on it, however the tires and other parts I did buy for it can be transferred to my other tractors. I originally bought this tractor for parts and it has lived a hard life. I was able to use it to cultivate for 5 years. Im going to think about it for awhile before I decide whether to fix it or part it out.
