This thread has certainly gotten beat to death, when some simple step by step troubleshooting should have solved it in an hour!
that would be a big labor bill also. This thread has certainly gotten beat to death, when some simple step by step troubleshooting should have solved it in an hour!
If you have properly wired it through the plug to the trailer frame/lights when you did the installation of the harness, the ground should be there.Today I will run a ground from trailer to truck and continue further .
We keep asking if you have actually confirmed the trailer lights work by checking the trailer plug wires with a battery. ??Today I will run a ground from trailer to truck and continue further .
Yes they did not work on battery charger power but I will try my atv battery I suspect nothing wrong with the lightsWe keep asking if you have actually confirmed the trailer lights work by checking the trailer plug wires with a battery. ??
If your battery charger is a smart charger it won't put out any current unless it senses voltage!Yes they did not work on battery charger power but I will try my atv battery I suspect nothing wrong with the lights
I would not be too quick to trust a battery charge as a source of power . Without a battery connected to it .Yes they did not work on battery charger power but I will try my atv battery I suspect nothing wrong with the lights
What does that mean ?there went the diode.
Diode(s) in the battery charger .What does that mean ?
Do you have lights yet ?Yes The charger is a fail need a battery from my atv
Are you working on getting the lights working currently or is this a project that gets a few minutes now and then? I ask as most of us are trying to help you but if it is on the sideline for now, we should wait until you can come back with some answers to outstanding questions and stop bothering you.Yes they did not work on battery charger power but I will try my atv battery I suspect nothing wrong with the lights
I don't think a battery charger will light them. You need to have an actual battery. The adapter has a small red light so the adapter is hot They wires are now new at the tail light you have no power from harness Another weird thing {I no longer assume all led lights are not working All four can't be bad so that is ruled out [ But the lights don't light when a battery charger is put to them I am still confused I even ran an auxiliary ground from trailer to truck.
how did you find that out ? when hooking the booster cable to the trailer ?Result Bad ground due to not scraping powder coat off grounding point Lights finally fixed
