What are you thoughts on Galaxy 13.6 x 28 C TL agri trac II R-1 rear tires for a farm tractor? Good or bad opinions welcome.
Thanks to all for your opinions.

I think the main consideration when buying tractor tires is who is going to put them on, especially if you want to load them, the Tire service outfits excell at it. My first call is to the local Tire service guy who can come out and get the job done, I have found them very competitive. If you are doing it all yourself then I can not offer an opinion on those particular tires other than I looked at them online and they look like pretty standard Bar tires, if they are truely 8 ply all the better.

No experience on that particular Galaxy but I have a set of 12.4-36 Galaxy RI 10 ply on my SuperC 15+years and they are just now starting to check a little. It lives outside in the Texas sun. I really like them.

I don’t have any of that particular tire, but do have a few sets of Galaxy’s. I have no complaints about the quality of the tires.

Like most import tires, the lugs tend to be a bit further apart and have less rubber in them than a classic domestic tire, but they work well enough for the money.

i have a set of 20.8 by 38 on my 1570, they seem good as i have run them now around 3 years. only thing i heard is if you road your tractor a lot they wear a little more.

Could depend on which model of Galaxy tire is chosen . As to the bar spacing , compounding and weight .

I had a set that I bought new around 1988 that cracked in front of the lugs more than I thought they should have.

That brand is a good enough economy tire.

They tend to have less lugs and so less traction, and have less durability than the big 3 name brands.

But if you are looking for average performance not heavy tillage etc they will likely do a good job.

I have a 10 year old set on a Ford 4000 (4 cyl) that are holding up great. These are the Earth Pro 45 R-1 model. I mostly bush hog, box blade, and plow a few gardens.

I am running galaxy 15.5.38 tires after 5 years heavy tillage and lighter work no cracks anywhere in the sidewalls or the lugs

Ag Radial R1-W is an economy radial .
Agmaster R-1 is an economy 23 degree bar that has wide bar spacing .
Galaxy R-1 are 45 degree tires designed for vintage equipment . Some claim that these keep the rims from being damaged by running on the ground .
