Leaky D236 filters

I have some really leaky fuel filters on my d236 engine and I was wondering what the deal is with spin on conversions or honestly any type of conversion to get rid of the 60 year old crap ones

i always thought they have a good filter system. never have had problems with these filters leaking. very easy to service and nice bleeders to bleed, easy to drain off. should be easy to see where the leak is, canister cover, bleeder or drain plug. plus you have 2 filters. the stanadyne is a good filter also, but then you got to make a mount for it to sit up straight. we used to add them on the gm 5.7 diesel engine. its also a water separator and easy to see whats inside.

On my 584 I replaced mine with spin on filters, I believe the parts place I deal with got them from WIX. Just me I like the set up it’s been a while since I redid this tractor but at the time there was a reason I did it.
