AFTERMARKET POWER STEERING KIT FOR OLIVER 550 DIESEL

I am looking to add power steering to my little Oliver 550 diesel tractor . Does anyone out there have any suggestions? i had someone tell me about a company
he dealt with about 5 years ago . JACKSON POWER STEEING . Are they still in business ? i am willing to consider anything at this point . i would appreciate any input on this and possible cost ? (so i know what i am in for . )

Yes, the kit is not cheap, around 2 grand when I inquired a few years ago. Rebuilding your knuckles with new thrust bearings and bushings would help a lot.

I watched an episode of Jay leno's Garage where they added an electric power assist device to an old truck. I recall that it was a unit taken out of a GM SUV or truck. Seemed like an easy upgrade and could be adapted to just about anything with a steering wheel.

There was a man on here a few months ago put one on a 88 or super 88. I think it was a Toyota EPS. It fit above the bell housing quite well. Would probably be tight on a 550. I would think it would have to sit on top of the Saginaw steering gear.

There was a video on YouTube of someone putting electric on a ford. It should be about the same on an Oliver. Super 55.
I put electric power steering from a KIA Souel into a super 88.
