Radiator Cap for Farmall BN

Just wondering if anyone has had good or bad luck with any of the radiator caps listed online? My tractor has the original non-pressurized radiator. I believe the original part number was 43983D. I did replace it a few years back but don't think it sealed perfect even when new, but lately just making a fast u-turn a the end of mowing the yard it leaks like crazy. I see them listed for anything like $6.00 to almost $30.00 online!

I even tried putting some silicone sealant behind the rubber seal but that did not make a big difference. The top of the neck is nice and smooth, no dents or corrosion. Sometimes it helps to shift it around a little but don't think the rubber seal/gasket was made perfect.

Well.....it's a zero pressure, thermo syphon system. If coolant runs out of the cap when you make a u-turn your radiator is too full. It's designed to puke out any extra coolant until it reaches its happy level.

Only had two of those we had was on a 52 R combine cub engine and 50 T baler with cub engine . Don’t think we ever did any maintenance to it radiator caps .Worked well in heavy oats loaded ,and heavy Timothy hay. Love those cub engines .
