Use marshmallows in the live trap. Cats have no interest and raccoons can't resist. sometimes I put the marshmallow under the trap and weight the trap. Of course, I do let the raccoon out of the trap after a Mark IV application.

I hope ya put them out of misery with a 22 or something.
In my neck of the woods it’s illegal to move captured raccoons because of the threat of rabies. If caught they have to be killed. Best to eliminate the food source so you don’t have to resort to that. I have killed a few in my day but would rather keep them away.

You have to know it, that's why I say pour them out, buzzards won't go after a live animal.

We were over run by raccoons in all the outbuildings until these 2 Great Pyrenees became part of the farm. Now a raccoon does not dare to enter the farm yard.

No doubt about it - You need a bigger cat.
