This may not be allowed on this site; however I've been an old tractor Farmall nut for quite a time and am now selling at auction and do not want to let them go stupid cheap. It is not about a profit as I have spent many hours using, maintaining and getting them ready to sell. The sheet metal on the 1951 only shows light fading of color and runs like a clock. The 1946 has good solid sheet metal but could use some paint. I rebuilt the top end on the 46 and when you want it to start you just say "start". The 51 has the Lambert Disc Brake system and I found new pads (miracle, it now stops before you end up in the pond). Anyway I know more info is needed to be accurate, but generally speaking...What do you think they would be worth. Thanx to All.

I am a huge fan of the Farmall M and I am still farming with a couple of them.
Unfortunately, because of the lack of live hydraulics and live pto on older Farmalls like yours are really only desirable to the hobbyist and collectors.
One thing you may want to mention is the condition of the tires. It is often said that a guy could put a new set of tires on an M or H and not be able to sell it for the cost of the tires.
So, as you described a good running M depending on tires, can range between $1000 to $2000 maybe more if it has desirable features.

The tires are aged but very similar to those on my H which I put up 14 acres of hay (mowing,raking and bailing) for about 15 years. Those tires were tuff and looked shiny new after that work. I enjoyed the "hobby" of fixing/making better these tractors and each of them were up-graded with 3pt attachment. Thank you for taking time to give me a bit of what to expect.

Around here a wide front end seems to go an extra $300-$500 more than a narrow front end.

I wouldn’t chance selling at auction.
I sell most things on facebook marketplace anymore set price where you want it.
If you don’t get any bites lower it. I sold an m and mta as a package deal for $6500 a few years back. I was happy and the buyer was happy. The MTA had new paint m was faded tires were like 50% on both.

In Alabama a running driving M with decent tires won't bring $700-800 at auction. Most folks there are wanting to buy to flip. On Facebook marketplace they maybe listed higher but the ones that are selling are bringing $1000-1500 tops. An H is even cheaper

The three point hitches might bring $250 to $500 each off the tractors. On the tractor they might help the tractors sell faster, but I doubt that they increase the sale price by more than $100 to $200 each. Do the tractors have any other higher value options like power steering, 9 speed transmission, live hydraulics, or M&W live PTO kit?

Watch your local and regional Facebook Marketplace and Craig's List to see what asking price sells similar tractors and which asking prices linger on the market for a long time. Original listing dates are available, but actual selling prices are not available.

Pricing near a realistic selling price moves equipment the fastest and often gets the asking price from one of the first few people that look at it. Local auctioneers can also give you a ballpark value from just pictures. Keep in mind that excess pocket money is not as common now as it was a few years ago.

IMHO, without seeing any pictures, pricing the M at $1400 with the three point hitch and the H at $1100 with the three point hitch should get them sold within a month or two. Good luck.
