Is it plumb or is it level

One outfit I worked for had four Foremen who were licensed old-school calculate the points surveyors. One of them did all the staking/ gradesetting for the Oakland Coliseum in 1966- he worked 365 straight days, took one day off and went back to work

And that works around corners !!

I made one with 50' of tubing. ....I could check any point within a 50' radius.
The only thing you have to do is go back to your reference point every time you use it, as temperature etc. can affect it. If you leave it at your oint, and then later take another shot, it can be off

I watch a lot of YouTube and constantly see people using a level vertically and refer to this as being level. When a level is being used vertically you are not leveling it is plumb. You're thoughts.
I'm plumb wore out trying to get my life to level out.

Lot of nitwits on youtube. It's why you have to watch many on the same subject and use the information common in all of them. Vertical is plumb.

Exactly.....I would guess most people on this site are fairly mechanically inclined and can tell which presenters know what they are doing and which are just B.S. artists.
