Misfit is subjective according to the group and best defined by group members. For instance members could cast votes to determine who goes and who stays. Maybe keep up with atta boys earned and have it understood that a single "aw-Nalert" wipes out 10 atta boys. The question is how to level playing field. People that hang out posting day in day out would wind up running the show if there was no way to keep them in check. This is the first I've heard that a member can have a pet thread and have admin to lock it if they become disenchanted. It might help if people skipped over posts by those who cause their "Nalerts" to bunch up.

Let me be clear. I am the person who locks posts, deletes posts, and moderates this forum. No forum member tells me what to do. Posts can be reported, and then I take the time to consider them and moderate appropriately. I leave many reported posts alone.

In the case of the Today's Funny Page, there was an excessive number of inappropriate comments displaying bigotry, and the trend kept going. So I decided to clean it up and lock it rather than just deleting the whole thing.

The forum rules are clear. This is our place of business. We value your participation but it must be kept appropriate. You don't just represent yourselves here. You represented this forum, this business, and the hobby community as a whole.
