Thanks for your feedback. I'll do my best. Like Kim, I will not be able to read every post, as my job here as moderator is only a small portion of my job at Yesterday's Tractors. But I am pretty diligent, and follow the people who get on my radar. I will need to rely on the community here to bring issues to my attention through the report function.

I am constantly amazed at the way the members here treat the site owners. This is a business and they run this site as a business tool, and you can bet they deduct every last penny of expense here as a business expense as they should, I have no issue with that at all. I support American business and am in favor of this site! But they are not doing anyone here a favor by hosting the site.

If members treated this site like the advertising site it is it might get informative again instead of turning into tractor facebook.

Many "targets" bring it on themselves. For example, one member was always asking for advice on this or that, lots of great inputs will be given but every single one will get push back from the OP saying "that won't work" ... then why ask for advice if your going to ignore it all.

Also pull up you britches and be a big boy would be good advice for the habitually offended

So you noticed that to? I haven't seen the Top Poster Of The Week list recently but you could find top "flies in ointment" were among top posters. I checked post count for a members in this thread offering solutions and found they average 7 post per day,7 days a week. That's more hours on YT than half a work week. Add the number of other members they have relationships with outside YT and it's only natural they would expect things at YT be like average folks expect their brick and mortar to be. For comparison a different member that has been around several years posts less than once per day even though long time retired. So yes, YT means more to some than a few minute read while having morning coffee.

My account went poof twice when site crashed and I opened another account. I was here long before 2012. I don't recall the year but someone did worse to Nancy than anything being complained about here. James (quintessential gentleman ) was ready to tear perp limb to limb but didn't "Nalert", moan,accuse, blame members and admin.

Yep, when you "joined" and how long you've been here aren't the same. You didn't used to have to be registered to post. Only problem was, if somebody had a grudge or something, they could just use your name and say something you didn't say and pretend to be you. It happened to me and that's when I decided to register the name in 06.

I remember a big sweep one time when a bunch of guys were banned for good. They kept spouting off about their first amendment rights and how nobody could silence them on the internet, even if they do own the site. They were wrong.

That's where the ignorance thing comes to play by thinking the 1st applies to a private company.

But even though ignorance can be fixed it rarely seems to happen.

That makes the 3rd or 4th time ignorance has been blamed for disagreeable statements.
If ignorance were a hanging offense, there wouldn't be anyone on YT to argue with. I've known people that were ignorant on any number of subjects but good,solid citizens just the same. Personally I find it repulsive and worthy of an ear thumping when people flaunt intelligence on a subject just to belittle another.
"Spouting off" will be poorly received whether or not spouter understands their 1st amendment rights. Fact is people that understand their rights frequently "spout off" for no reason other than rub other people's nose in the fact. Ignorance? Not hardly.

I know of dozens of folks who don't post here anymore. I still text or call them. Most were sick and tired of the cyber bullies that are allowed to run the show....... Even if they weren't the target, some decent folks didn't like the constant harassment of people ( like Old) .......the jury is still out on Norman.... maybe he is the guy that cleans it up.

The forum here has a IGNORE member function. Just hover over the member in a thread, the details pop up and pick ignore. Works all the time. No more issues with bullies. The more the good members do this the less the bullies have a say in anything anymore.

Do use this forum feature, it makes the forum very pleasant. The bullies are the ones who will leave, not the good people.

Well they are either ignorant or stupid about how the first actually works. I was giving them benefit of the doubt by using ignorant.

Being ignorant of something is not belittling! It just means you do not know, that can be fixed by teaching! Stupid often can't be fixed.
