FWIW on the general hauling of a tractor especially with a marginal truck one thing to pay attention to. Many don't think about the loading of the tractor onto the trailer. When the weight gets far enough up the ramps it makes the trailer go to negative tongue weight and can lift the back of the tow vehicle off of the ground. Can get pretty exciting if there is the slightest incline, I know a few that went for rides like this. Best to block the back of the trailer so it doesn't drop under the weight.
Back to the OP, how about a location or a distance?

Put a ad on the haul board. I have had stuff moved all over the east coast and Midwest for reasonable prices. Beats wrecking borrowed equipment.

Many years ago my brother in law had the tractor dealer pick up his tractor and deliver it again for some repairs.

The bill for the pick up and delivery portion of the repairs was $400.

The trip one way was about 5 miles.

The tractor was a 16 hp Kubota, 6100 or 7100 model I forget something like that.

Was kind of a jaw dropping bill for some time in the 90s…….



A 1500 pickup should be able to handle your load if you load the trailer properly and drive conservatively.

I would wonder how to handle the large pieces and move them safely if one splits the tractor. And then, you are doing twice as many miles, which puts twice the wear and tear on the pickup….
